Ginger Ross + Co.
Ginger Ross + Co. is known for classic and fresh interiors that marry beauty, style and comfort in a timeless way. Rooted in tradition, our designs selectively glance to the past while embracing the present in a finely curated mix of color, pattern and form. We have yet to find a blue that we don’t love, and no, every white paint color is not the same. Based in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, current projects include residences in Old Greenwich, Darien and Bronxville, NY, while our portfolio spans nationwide.
Virginia (Ginny) O’Donohue’s background combines years of experience in the financial sector, a passion for drawing and design, and formal training at Parsons and New York School of Interior Design in Manhattan. With an affinity for high end fabrics and finishes: high gloss paint, grasscloth covered walls, wool sateen in every color, tassels, fringe and tape trims, Ginny loves to customize each space in a way that is special to its inhabitants. As a mother of four young children, however, Ginny’s work is still rooted in practical, “real life” design solutions.
About the Name
Ginny grew up admiring the effortless style and pioneering spirit of her grandmothers, Virginia “Ginger” Day and Abby Doolittle Ross. Ginger Ross + Co. launched in 2005, its name paying homage to these two women whose closets and basements provided the inspiration for her earliest experiments with design.
Ginny is the most creative and down-to-earth designer I've met. As a busy mom herself, she knew what would work for our lifestyle—which rugs could take boot and cleat traffic and fabrics could be wiped down with a sponge—and still look awesome! She transformed our house into a beautiful and functional home.
